⚽ GRIMSBY BOROUGH VIKINGS U12 GIRLS | MORE THAN JUST A TEAM! ❤️🖤

Yesterday, DG ProView had the pleasure of covering Grimsby Borough Vikings U12 Girls, a team with a story that perfectly captures what grassroots football is all about.

After losing almost half their squad over the summer, the Vikings faced an uncertain future. Some of the girls were left wondering whether they'd even have a team to play for this season. But thanks to the dedication of their coaches, the loyalty of those who stayed, and the enthusiasm of some fantastic new additions, the Vikings have come back stronger together. Speaking with manager Rob, it quickly became clear just how much this team means to everyone involved.

The club takes enormous pride in developing young players, including those who have progressed to new challenges in the Doncaster league. But equally important is the journey of the girls who chose to stay and continue building something special and that's exactly what they're doing! 💪

A close-knit group with an incredible team spirit, these girls work hard, support one another and wear their shirts with pride. Their commitment, togetherness and determination are a real credit to everyone involved. Sometimes success in grassroots football isn't measured by results or league positions.

It's measured by the friendships formed, the confidence built and the opportunities we give young players to enjoy the game they love. The Vikings are a brilliant example of that.

A huge credit to Rob, the coaching team, the parents and, most importantly, the girls themselves. Whatever this season brings, they've already achieved something worth celebrating. The Viking spirit is alive and well! ❤️🖤⚽📸 Proud to capture their journey through the lens of DG ProView.
